It begins with a vanilla bean grown on a homestead family farm in Wailua, Kauaʻi. The familiar fragrance and superior flavor of real small-batch vanilla is the cornerstone of Slow Island’s Kauaʻi Vanilla Bean Culinary Syrup. Include it in beverages like a Vanilla Old-Fashioned or a Kauaʻi Cream Soda (recipes included on the bottle), or combine with a savory element for marinades.
Suggested Uses:
Vanilla Old Fashioned - 1/2 Tbsp Kauai Vanilla Bean Syrup, 2 dashes of Bitters, Large piece of Orange Zest, 2 oz Whiskey, Ice. Muddle Orange Zest with Bitters and Syrup, in a muddling glass. Add Whiskey and Ice and stir until cold. Strain ice in a glass. Add a piece of Orange Zest to garnish.
Kaua’i Cream Soda - 3 tablespoons Kauai Vanilla Bean Syrup, 8 Oz Sparkling water. Stir Sparkling Water and Syrup in a cup and pour over Ice cubes. For a whipped cream topping 1 tablespoon Vanilla Bean syrup , ½ cup heavy cream. Combine heavy cream and syrup in a jar with a lib , shake for 15 minutes or until cream has a whipped consistency (or use a mixer).
Vanilla Latte - 1-2 Teaspoons (depending on taste). Add to Milk of choice and steam or froth. Pour on to top of expresso.
