Like its namesake suggests, this tea is sweet with a lot of character. A 2020 spring harvest green tea from Hakalau on the Big Island at 900 feet elevation, this tea has an immediate sweet aroma. Notes of crepe pancake and syrup follow. “Honey Badger” has been roasted for nuttiness and goes well with mild-flavored dishes like salmon and also salty snacks like nori. In cooler water temperatures, 160 degrees as opposed to the 180 degrees generally suggested for green teas, a floral palate arises.
